About Coyne

E.J. Coyne & Company was founded in 1953 in Chicago by Edward J. Coyne and is now owned by his sons, brothers Matt and Ed Coyne. We moved to our current Park Ridge location in 1981.

We enjoy being active members of the community. Ed is a member of the Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce, the Park Ridge Rotary, and the Rotary Charitable Foundation Board. Matt is a member of the Park Ridge Lions Club, the Lions Club Charitable Foundation Board, and the Biz2Biz Networking Group. Both brothers live and work in Park Ridge.

We believe our clients are our employers and give you our loyalty. We are committed to providing the same high level of personalized service for both your personal and business insurance needs.

Anyone can claim that they provide personalized service. Here are some of our favorite examples where we have walked the talk:

• Our client lost his deceased father-in-law's ring while swimming in his pool. When the client called many months later, instead of processing the claim, Ed drove over to the client's house, donned his diving gear, dove into the pool of dirty, standing water, and retrieved the ring for a highly grateful, emotional client. The ring may not have been covered under the policy since it was not technically lost. It was in the pool but the homeowner did not want to drain the pool to retrieve it.
   
• Working in the office, Ed heard the loud crash. Running to the window, he realized that a client was in an automobile accident directly in front of the insurance agency. Ed called the police, rushed to the client's aid, and filed an insurance claim in minutes.
   
• Watching the evening news, Matt saw the report of a client's business on fire. He went in to the office and had filed the insurance claim before the client knew about the fire.
